A PRACTICAL LOCAL WORKSPACE
How the Grownestia Garden Planner works
Name your garden, add each usable rectangular growing space and save its dimensions. Beds remain editable, and each one can carry an optional generic planting layout without requiring plant data.
Save garden bed measurements once
Measurements are normalized before storage, so changing between US customary and Metric display does not change the physical bed size. One local workspace can contain multiple named beds.
Reuse beds across gardening calculators
A saved bed can open the Soil, Mulch or Plant Spacing Calculator with its length and width filled in. You still choose depth, spacing and other tool-specific inputs there.
Planning grid and row layouts
Optional layouts reuse the same complete-cell geometry as the Plant Spacing Calculator. Counts are geometric estimates based on your spacing, not recommendations or guaranteed plant capacity.
Where your garden data is stored
My Garden is stored in this browser on this device. It is not sent to a Grownestia account or backend. Clearing browser or site storage may remove it.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account?
No. The current planner saves one garden workspace in browser storage on this device.
Can I add more than one bed?
Yes. Add, name, edit and delete multiple rectangular beds in the same local workspace.
Does the planner recommend plant spacing?
No. Grid and row layouts use spacing you enter. Plant labels are organizational text and do not trigger recommendations.
What happens if I clear browser storage?
Locally saved garden data may be removed. This version does not include cloud recovery, export or import.
Which calculators can reuse a bed?
Saved dimensions can open the Soil, Mulch and Plant Spacing Calculators. Rainwater is excluded because a garden bed is not necessarily a catchment area.
